Parts are denoted with Heading 1 entries and appear on a new page with a bold heading. Scenes need to be prefaced in the text with a divider (four dashes ----) at the start of each scene. In the export they will appear separated by a line break with a centred hash mark.
You can of course insert hash marks directly into Ulysses by prefacing them with a back slash like this \#. But this makes life a bit easier for me and centres the hash mark which looks nicer.
